SiFu Jessica Placek was born in 1986, the year of the tiger. However,
SiGung Conrad Blasko would say SiFu Jessica is more of a crane. She
lives in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania with her parents. She achieved
the title SiFu and her black sash - level one in August 2005 at the
2005 Pai Lum Tao International Conference. SiFu Jessica started taking
Kung Fu classes at the age of nine under the instruction of SiGung
Conrad. Now, ten years later, she loves training in the martial art as
well as teaching fellow classmates and the Little Dragons of Clarks
Summit. About one year ago, SiFu Jessica also began training in San
Shou. Annually, she competes at the PA State Tournament. At the 2004
Pai Lum Tao International Conference, SiFu Jessica placed second in
sparring. At the 2005 Pai Lum Tao Internatonal Conference, she
received two first-place medals for forms and sparring. Also, to her
surprise in 2005, SiFu Jessica received the Assisant Instructor of the
Year award. When not training or teaching, she enjoys hanging out with
friends, shopping, creating dances to songs, running, lifting weights,
and playing sports like soccer and flag football. In fall 2005, she
will be attending College Misericordia in Dallas, PA, where she will be
studying physical therapy.
